Why use a weighted vest? 

The concept of the weighted vest is based on the technique of deep pressure.  Deep pressure is used to assist the child to self-calm and relax so that sensory stimulus can be processed.  The use of a weighted vest is thought to provide the child with unconscious information from the muscles and joints.  Children who are easily distracted, hyperactive and lacking in concentration are said to respond positively to the additional weight a vest provides.

Our weighted vests are custom made for your child's pleasure.  Your custom vest will feature your child's favorite print or color on the outside with a corresponding lining on the inside.  This pull-over vest has Velcro closures on each side.  Four large pockets are hidden inside the vest with Velcro closures.  Seams and pockets are double stitched for durability.  Professional quality, includes label and size tag.

Your custom vest will be made to fit your child, please contact me if you need help determining size.  A variety of fabrics may be chosen.  Your vest will come with 3 pounds of weight.  Each weight is 4 ounces and is made of a non-toxic, non-drying modeling clay.  We have found this to be the safest material to use in order to keep our prices low.  Additional weight may be purchased on request.  A full page care and use sheet will accompany your vest.

If your child is on the higher end of the chest measurement,
I'd recommend going up one size.

I've had many requests for larger sized vests.  I do not make these vests any larger than a child size 8 because a child larger than this will require more weight.  My vests are designed to carry 3-5 pounds.  As your child grows, I recommend looking into an adult exercise vest.  These are adjustable and can carry much more weight.  Here are a few recommendations that are offered by our affiliate:
